  1. I wouldn't use anything that might harm the ferret as it grooms itself - the fur should have nothing on it.

  2. mix it with some soft soap.. maybe??

    idk.

  3. Only use the ferret shampoo, or you can use a cat shampoo that is safe for kittens. There is a conditioning spray you can get for ferrets. It's made by 8-in-1. There are other ferret shampoos that you can get that do different things, like deodorizing, or softening fur. Also, don't bathe them to often, because that will make them greasier and smell more. And it's not good for their skin

  4. i would NOT reccomend using anything that is made for people because it could be toxic to them. stick with regular shampoo, and they are naturally not so soft because they have oils on theyre fur. (washing to much is bad)

  5. i use hertz kitten foam shampoo!!!

  6. Yes you can.  BUT constant bathing of a ferret is not necessary and will strip the oils from their skin/fur. Frequent bathing will cause the ferret to produce more oils (replenishing what was lost), which often results in your ferret having more of an odor. The most effective way to cut down on any odors (and this is on an individual basis....I own 3 and there are no odors) is to constantly keep all of their bedding clean and washed weekly. If you must bath your fuzzy, make sure it is with a shampoo labeled for use on ferrets. I bathe mine once or twice a year if they get into something dirty. I am going to be buying this next year because it is all natural which is an important thing when it comes to my ferrets. Here is the shampoo

Here is the creme rinse conditioner

remember the marshall's brand is cheaper because it contains synthetic (fake) ingredients which can be harsh to you ferret.

  7. Marshall's makes a creme rinse, which is basically a conditioner for ferrets. I've used it in the past and it does seem to temporarily soften their coat. I think brushing them regularly help keeps their fur soft. Here's a link to some ferret shampoos, the creme rinse I mentioned, and conditioning sprays: http://www.ferret.com/grooming/shampoos-...

FYI WeLoveOurWeasels (I'm assuming it was you that gave me the thumbs down), just because I mention a brand of something doesn't mean I recommend it. It's what I've tried (I don't think they even had the Fancy Ferret brand when I bought it). If you notice, I provided a link to ferret.com's list of ALL of their shampoos, conditioners, etc. All I recommend doing to keep a ferret's coat soft is brushing them and providing them with a good diet. That and ruling out any possible illnesses, which could cause dry, brittle fur. In my opinion, all of those creme rinses are unnecessary and a waste of money.
