  1. No tiger barbs are not for small tanks like that because they are very aggresive and get up to 3" in length. You shouldn't even keep one because they are very social schooling fish that sometimes can be aggresive when in close captivity. So the answer would be no on the tiger barb(s).

  2. Tiger barbs are an aggressive type of fish, even amongst each other.  I would think a 5 gallon tank would be too small for these fish, and might encourage their natural aggression.

I would recommend a more peaceful fish, like the neon tetra.  There are many other fish that are not so aggressive, but still beautiful.  Consider other options, or acquire a larger tank.

  3. no....

hexagon tanks due to poor gas exchange can hold 35% the fish load of a rectangle tank the same size.

That tank is great for a trophy betta as there is no swimming room either in those tanks either so dithering fish are your only options.

very appealing tank design however it's fundamentally flawed.

    2 inches of fish tops....

    good luck!!!

  4. Tiger barbs, like most barbs, are very active schooling fish and shouldn't be kept in a tank that small.  Baby barbs, yes, but they grow fairly quickly.

  5. no. maybe A tiger barB, but thats a pretty small tank and i dont think it would be happy in there.

  6. if it was me i wouldnt but if u really like them id put one in the tank

  7. Too small.

Tiger barbs are active swimmers and need to live in a school to be happy.

5 gal is just too small - start thinking around 20gal for a bunch of tiger barbs.
