Can you put videos from your DVR to your computer using a USB cable?

I have a DISH DVR and in the front there is a USB port (A) and if i get an A/A cable won't I be able to transfer them.

  1. no you cant , you can do it with a rf cable into your tv card, then use windows media center to burn or store the vids
