Can you "convert" this pattern?

I don't know how to crochet, but i am an expert knitter and i want to know if you can convert this pattern to a knitting pattern.

knit each stitch that calls for sl st. this is obviously a continental pattern. In USA sl st is sc or single crochet rahter than slip stitch.
