I know a lot of people ask these questions and appear to brag about their clubs, Please rate these and keep in mind I have them because they are cheap! If you can reccommend a cheap improvement that would be great. Thanks!

Irons: Knock off Callaway X-18s

Driver: Taylormade supersteel Burner (not the new burner)

woods: Dynacraft 5 wood, taylormade tour driver I use as a 3 wood (these are WAAAAY old)

Wedges: Dunlop Loco 56 and 60 degrees

Hybrid: Dunlop solution 19 degree

Putter: odyssey rossie

Ball: Most of the time it is a Maxfli Noodle or Dunlop Loco if it is new, or whatever I find when not new.

Not impressive, I know, but I play somewhat well with them. I have +18 handicap and have only been playing for about 6 months.

  1. as long as its a full set it really doesn't matter. i mean even the clones can be decent clubs. the only thing i really hate about them is that if they just marketted them as a reg set, i'd be fine with them. My problem is that they try sooo much to look like the set it tries to copy. Anyhow, spend your money on lessons and don't worry too much about the equipment.

Only thing tho...don't use an old driver as a 3 wood. only thing u might want to upgrade is that and the driver. The only thing i agree with in all this latest and greatest marketting BS is that todays drivers are much more forgiving than those of ~10 yrs ago. Now i'm not saying to go out and buy the newest driver, but one thats a few yrs old, and 400-460cc would be great. Even if u hit yours now well, getting a newer one will just make it more forgiving.

  2. there fine for you until you get to about a ten handicap, from there, you'll need to be able to work the ball and control spins and that would be difficult with those clubs
