Can you really sell your World of Warcraft account for big money?

I have played WoW for about 8 months and have a level 70 rogue with good PvP gear and 4 other alternate toons in the level 20 to 40 range. I don't have the time to play anymore and was looking at some sites that are selling accounts for $100 to $1000. Are people really willing to pay this kind of money for WoW accounts?

Yes. If you go to www.craigslist.com and type in World of Warcraft in the search column you will see a wide range of accounts for sale going from $100 to $5000. The higher priced accounts have mostly level 70 toons. In order to make any real money off of your account, you will need a toon who is just there for skills, kind of the money maker. I recommend going to that site and checking it out! Then you can find a good price range to set yours at and if you wanted, you could even post an ad on there for free. Good Luck!

it depends on what level youre character is and if your willing to give up your personal information you wont be able to sell a level 10 if you have like a 70 or 80 you would get maybe 50 bucks for it but if i were you i wouldnt do it cause youll still be paying for it

Many people are! Just be careful how you word it. You CANT sell your wow account. You have to say you are selling the time you have invested in the account and not the account itself, which is owned by Blizzard. Goodluck

my friend sold a blood elf mage for 200 bucks, it had full s2 and 500g..It really depends on the demand on that server, he was on a dead server where the top guild hadn't even started sunwell.. but he had a night elf druid on a high populations server in full t5 but had no gold on the account and it sold for 480, it really just depends on the server, race , class, gold , mounts, etc..

just think how much you would pay for an account with full t5 and 500g, and thats probably how much you could sell for

Most likely, but it's both risky and against the TOS.

Characters with good amounts of T6 I've seen being sold for $1,400 and level 70 green machines much, much less around $200 to $300.
