I accidentally took the spaghetti off the boiling water too quick and it's a little too al dente. Can I reboil the spaghetti or will that ruin it?

  1. If the pot is still boiling, put it in for a short time.

Otherwise, boil a little water in a fry-pan, & put spaghetti in briefly.

  2. Unfortunately, we've all been here before so what I've done for a quick fix is to put it into the microwave for another minute with a little water in the bottom of the dish to create some steam and brought it to the proper softness.  You could also put it it back into a boiling pot of water, but my concern is that it will get too soggy and then it's totally ruined. With a few seconds in the microwave, you can save time and possibly prevent your pasta from over cooking on the second boil.  Hope this helps you out today, happy cooking to you!

  3. Yes, that will not be a problem

  4. No, it absolutely will not ruin it and isn't unfortunate. What you have done is par-cooked your pasta. Just about every restaurant that serves a pasta dish cooked from dried pasta does this. They don't have the 8-10 minutes it takes to cook it to order. Cool and drain your pasta well. Add a little oil to keep it from sticking together. Get another pot of water going. When boiling, add in your pasta and finish cooking until done to your liking. Oh, that place where your supposed to feel at home when there. Does this before adding sauce to most every one of thier dishes.

  5. it will ruin unless you have a boiling pot of water now that you can put ir right back into
