Can you recommend Japanese foods/cuisine.except sushi?

I will held a family dinner on thursday and my family love japanese foods which I don't like except for sushi. So I don't know much about japanese cuisine...

Can you recommend Japanese cuisine except sushi because I have already order a Sushi platter...

I prefer like fried food and please don't recommend Hot pot meals because I already have that..

  1. Zaru-soba is cold buckwheat noodle (soba) served on a bamboo plate (zaru). It's served with dipping soup (mentsuyu) and some toppings. Add toppings in the dipping soup and dip a small amount of soba noodles in the soup to eat. Packages of dried soba noodles are availabe at Asian grocery stores. There are different kinds of soba noodles, depending on the amount of the buckwheat in the noodles. Usually, soba noodles are darker than somen noodles.

    It's a noodle dish, very common and well-known in Japanese culture/cuisine, so you shouldn't have any problem finding a recipe or preparation guide.

Ok this is easy and delicious if you have a picky palate.  Buy some rice noodles, they are very thin and look like spaghetti just thinner, steam the rice noodles and toss them with peas, scallions, and grill or fry boneles, skinless, chicken tenders that are already cut in long strips from the supermarket.  Add a couple table spoons of sesame oil and a couple teaspoons of vegetable oil .....and of course salt to taste.  Toss it again and you have a delicious satisfying meal.    

  6. Be sure to start the meal with miso soup.  It is extremely easy to make and is a traditional way to start a Japanese meal.

    Fried foods you are going to want to serve tempura vegetables and shrimp.

    For a dessert you can do something simple like green tea ice cream.
