Can you recommend a UK company for home insurance?

The company I'm with are looking £400 that seems very expensive.

  1. I'm with Esure and its quite reasonable about £200 a year for buildings and contents

  3. look at RIAS,I am with Direct Line,but have my car, home contents,and building  cover with them ,and they give you extra discounts for combining,and even throw in a european travel insurance for free,but check this out

  7. they are all a tricky bunch.. what you tend to find is the ones with the cheaper premiums, lack on the customer service / resolving claims.

    you only tend to find out what your insurer is really like when you need to make a claim.

  12. i was with more than for buildings and contents and my renewal was 200 quid more that it was before yet i have never made a claim,i went to the.aa.com and they did it for £219 for the year for both!!!or £19 per month.very very good.im well happy with it.
