Can you recommend a Vancouver restaurant with a nice lounge or private room?

We are hosting a small birthday party (10 adults, 3 children) and would like a restaurant which has a private room or lounge area that we could reserve. I'd like a place where we can order lots of hors d'oeurvres and cocktails, and not be pinned down to long tables where you can only talk with the people next to you. We want to mingle.

Any ideas or suggestions of places that reserve rooms/spaces like this? Pricey is OK, since this is a special event. Thanks!

Sounds like you'll have fun but I'm sorry I can't really say since I don't live in Vancouver. If you want, I can call up my cousins and ask them? Please add another message just so I know if you need it real bad.

Monk McQueens, or how about the Granville Island Hotel, I have been to staff parties there and the smorgasbord is delicious.
