  1. If you like monopoly, then get the new electronic one.

  2. There is a game in Argos which is a compendium of Blockbusters, The price is right and I think family fortunes - That's what we'll be playing xmas day.

We also have a music quiz and Bullseye as DVD games which are also fun - bullseye was better for the kids.

  3. The following is a list of the type of games I think you may be interested in.

    Stock market games.

    War/global strategy games.

    Horse/car racing.

Fantasy games.  Dragonology is a new one.

    Adventure/geographic games.

    Political games.

  4. Yes i would recommend any of the following as light hearted fun fillers: Bang!, Cash and Guns, Werewolf (dont need a board for this party game).

I would recommend the following gateway games: Carcassonne, Settlers of Catan and Talisman as easy to learn and play games.

Or perhaps something a bit more involved: Ra, Arkham Horror, Descent or Imperial as a quick mixed suggestion.

Personally, i avoid the old games like Monopoly and Risk - can't stand these games - there's so much more to boardgaming life than what you can find in your average high street toy shop. See and enjoy this site: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/newuser.php

  5. You can find a great list of games- and information about them on www.boardgamegeek.com.

And there are always people on there ready to help make suggestions!

  6. Apples to Apples

    Carcassonne

    Cranium

    Settlers of Catan

  7. Apples to Apples

  8. If you're looking to get into more advanced board games, try searching on ebay for Avalon Hill games. History of the World, Rail Baron, and 1830 are some of our favorites.  My sons and I recently started playing Age of Mythology the board game and we love that.  Apples to Apples is fun too if you're looking for a group party game.

  9. try this website, their is many board games on there..

    www.boardgamecompany.co.uk

    good luck x

  10. We recently discovered Carcassonne.  Love it!  I tend to like games which don't go on and on, my husband likes games with some strategy in.  This suits both of us!  If you enjoy it, you can buy extra parts to expand it.

The game is to develop cities, roads, fields and monasteries.  You decide where to put your "followers" to maximise points - but you only have a limited number of followers.  We've played with our 6 year old son and our 90 year old grandma.  And it's lovely to look at too.

  11. I am a board game fanatic and I have to say that the very best game to play with friends and family is Loaded Questions. Hands down. It's one of those "who said what" games. Super funny! Especially if the questions aren't taken too seriously. You can get it on Amazon for a pretty good price.

  12. would you rather.....it is soo much fun you are asked ques like "would you rather eat snot or mud" weird things like that and you have to guess what people will pick ( its prob for 16 years and up though!!

  13. Boggle is super cool

You could always try 'Upwords' - like a three dimensional version of scrabble.

  14. battle of the sexes  its a fun game and it pins the men against the women

  15. If you really want a game that works on all sorts of levels - and allows complete co-operation between players while also allowing one person to be a complete g*t then I would have to recommend: Escape from Colditz

  16. blokus

  17. deal or no deal

  18. It would help if you could suggest other games you have enjoyed so that we might be able to suggest others that are similar...

  19. i say I-Spy with my little eye. but thats just me. or maybe a game called pente. its a game like dots and chess, its hard to find. maybe you could try hot potato,  thats fun to.

  20. star trek the next generation:)

  21. try "Open the Box" its very good.  Have fun!!!!!!

  22. I love candyland! lol.
