Can you recommend a good cruise. I want to leave from the Ft. Lauderdal, FL docks this July.?

I am looking for a 4 to 7 day cruise for 2 adults. It will be my first cruise and I want to make sure I pick a good one.

We went on our first cruise with Princess last year to the Eastern Caribbean and had an ocean view room.  We left out of Ft Lauderdale and had the best time ever.  If you watch a website the different websites you should be able to find a great deal,especially if you can wait until about a month before the cruise.  That is when they give good deals to fill up the rooms on the ship.  Have a great trip!

Just go to the web site for the Ft Lauderdale port and it will list the cruise lines that depart from there and there will be links for the major lines so that you can do specific searches:

The major lines will be Princess, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Carnival and Holland America.  All of these are great first class cruise lines.  I have been on Princess, Royal and Celebrity among my 20 cruises and can attest to the fact that you WILL enjoy your cruise on any of them.

I would recommend sailing on Royal Caribbean on a Voyager or Freedom Class ship. My favorite ports of call are St. Thomas and San Juan.  I wasn't impressed with the Bahamas or Grand Cayman.  I would definitely do 7 days. It's very relaxing.

CruiseCritic.com, "Boards" and/or "Reviews" will give you lots of great info from past passengers about all aspects of cruising.  Your library will also have books on cruising, so you can get a general idea of what's involved and narrow down your choices.

There are so many options that you really need to either be more specific in your question or do some basic research [which can be lots of fun!].

Princess always gives great Cruise's or you can give expedia a try. I always plane my trips threw frommers they are the best you will get all the help you need.
