  1. During my last trip I came across a website called http://www.cheaphotel-s.com . It has quite a large variety of hotels. You might wanna give it a try.

  2. Look for the hostels.. some of them aren't so bad.. from what i hear

  3. Bob's Youth Hostel, on the fringe of the red light district

  4. Yes and you will find it yourself here:

  5. I have always stayed in the hotel Fantasia. It's beside a canal in a quiet street 5 mins from the centre.

Run by a couple of ex school teachers and very reasonably priced. In fact for the centre it is an excellent price.

  6. The quickest way to do this is to go to one of the hotel search engines and use the price filtering.

A lot will depend on the season , demand and the style of accommodation you are willing to put up with. Location is also key as transprot and time are other important considerations.

Have a look here where there are around 65 alternatives which you can organise by price , star rating and location. Obviously, the higher the star rating the better the hotel, and you can find some surprises in Amsterdam with some 4 star hotels cheaper than 2 and 3 star hotels.

Use the maps to work out what is "central" for your needs. You should find some good alternatives here and on the other suggested sites.

  7. hotel fanstadia or something like that ...
