Nothing too expensive, we're looking for a hip atmosphere. Maybe something where the entrees are like $18 - $25. Easy to get to.

  1. a good breakfast place in pickering is "Cora's"

if thats what your looking for

  2. Yeah man I love the Hard Rock Cafe!

  3. I am a former chef and live in Toronto, and for that price you have alot of options, alot depends on where in the city you want to dine, if it is a local or ethnic cuisine as all of the Indian places and good non-S&S type chinese ones are in that range, and as said the Hard Rock on Yonge or at the Rogers Center are in that range along King St in the Entertainment district, places like Kelsey's, Caseyss, E S Mario's, other roadhouse types and Swiss Chalet are nice.

Then there are the more adventerous ethnic, like Portuguese, Ethiopian, Vietnamese, Thai and Greek all again with in that range entree wise, for 2 people with a beverage or 2, dessert and coffee or other drink, look at between $50-100 for the night. I frequent the more out of the way and more ethnic places, not the gloopy buffet places, except for on Gerrard St in the east end for an Indian veg buffet, they are nice to change and not expensive even at night.

  4. SUMMERLICIOUS!  There are prix fixe menus for lunch and dinner ($15-$35) that let you try different restaurants or different food regions at a fair price.  The restaurants range from upscale to low-key, up-town to downtown and you get a lot of food for the price depending on where you go!  It doesn't start until July 4th though.

If you can't wait 'til then, it really depends on the type of cuisine you're craving.  I find that the bars/bistros along College St. near little Italy are universally appealing, happening, good serving sizes and fairly cheap depending on what you get.  We frequent Coco Lezzone.

Seoul City in Queen West Village has really great Korean food, the atmosphere is awesome!

  5. you can go to spring rolls, its everywhere

one is across from eaton center

  6. I live in Toronto and go to a LOT of restaurants...

    here are a few

    C'est What

    The Old Spaghetti Factory

    Le Papillon

    Salad King

    Green Mango

    ...

I can't think of more, but there are!
