Can you recommend any CHEAP accomadation in the LATIN QUARTER(5eme) in Paris?

Im going for 5 days with 4 friends.......cost, location and i suppose safety are no.1 on my list!

Depends what you mean by cheap.

The Hotel St. Andre des Arts is my favorite and costs 86 euros for a double with bath, taxes and free breakfast. http://www.123france.com/en/0/hotel-sain... Its actually in the 6th arrondissement but just a few feet over the border with the 5th.

You might also try the Hôtel des Alliés at 20 rue Berthollet in the 5th. Doubles run only 69 euros and if you're willing to share a toilet can be as low as 45 euros. http://www.alliesparishotel.com/ The location, although in the 5th is actually further from the center than the St. Andre. Notre Dame, for example is a 20 minute walk. But the price is unbeatable and the place has a good reputation.
