Can you recommend insurance for 30 year old trawler, 50' in Florida?

There are a BUNCH of marine insurance companies in Florida... check your yellow pages because you need to find one that is nearby, otherwise you may have to take the boat several hundred miles to get it surveyed.

Keep in mind that boat insurance has no equivalent in car or home owners insurance... it's a whole different animal and a good insurance agent can save you a lot of money.

Find an agent with some Midwestern companies.  We insured with an Ohio company while cruising and paid about 20% what a lot of others paid for comparable coverage.  It is getting harder to find any coverage for boats your age.  Try Global marine, they may work.
