  1. The New World Hotel Saigon ( http://www.resideo.com/vn/hochiminh/2967... ) is right across the street from the market, and the Metropole Hotel ( http://dev2.resideo.com/vn/hochiminh/196... ) is closeby as well.

You can check rates & book at the links above, or search for all available hotels here:  http://www.resideo.com/vn/hochiminh/

    Have fun!

  2. Tan My Dinh.  3 star with carpet in the City Center.  See you there May 25.

  3. try Tan My Dinh Hotel. u can also search this hotel in the net. near & reasonable. enjoy your holiday! i just came back last week. ;>)

  4. Que Huong has several hotels, I think Que Huong 3 is closed to Ben Thanh Market (Were there a year or two ago, remembered it only took 1-2 blocks to Ben Thanh).  Have fun.

  5. I would recommend this site and we have used it.

It is a real Vietnamese site with many listing you wont see anywhere else with all the rates and no commissions.  Have a good Holiday.  Cheers

  6. head to the Backpacker Area in Pham Ngu Lao, Dist 1. There are plenty of mini-hotels at very cheap prices. There are also heaps of restaurants, internet cafes, shops, bars etc if you need them.

Ben Thanh Market is a 5 - 10 min walk from here down through a park area.

    Enjoy HCM  City!

  7. There are many mini hotels near Ben Thanh Market. However, there is a very nice hotel which received a lot of good reviews from travelers especially backpackers. That is Phonenix 74 Hotel. You can find some information about this hotel from the following link:

Hopefully it is useful for you!

  8. Stay along Phan Ngu Lao Road in District 1. There is a great selection of mini-hotels along that road. Ben Thanh Market is a simple and cheap bus or cyclo ride away.

  9. Check out the Ngoc Lan Hotel. Look it up on the internet by simply typing in the name and then click on search. It is about 10 minutes from Ben Thanh market. I stayed there in July and August 2006. It has a nice resturaunt, money exchange and the staff is most excellent all for about 30.00 a night. There is laundry service for about 1.00 a day, refridgerator, satellite T.V., and air conditioning and the room was always clean! Oh, and they have stationary on the desk for you to write back home on too!
