  1. Hi, you might want to try my own recently published book, entitled "The Tales of Tanglewood: The Lon Dubh Whistle".

You can download the first three chapters for free, at http://www.talesoftanglewood.com

Within the pages of the book, readers will discover Colin, a child who is fully aware of the hidden world of myth and wonder hiding within the woods just beyond his home, long kept secret by old magic. Only the fey magic which runs through his veins has enabled Colin to find what others cannot; the Tanglewood, the 'wood within the woods.

Full of odd characters and creatures of the fey, the Tanglewood is a world of magnificent folklore come to life. As Colin begins to explore the Tanglewood, he will find friendship with the ferrish Ailfrid, the elfin girl Deidre, and Doc Muffingrow, a wise druid.

Colin will also find that there is much magic in himself, as well as dangerous enemies who will not let him find solace in the wood so easily. Ailil, King of the Sprites and ruler of The Below, has laid claim to his spirit, and Colin will need the help of his friends and quite a bit of magic to save himself.

The Tanglewood is a place like no other, and Colin is a boy like no other. Throughout his adventures, he will uncover the secret of the fey blood within him, and help dispel the poisonous corruption and hidden dangers that threaten the inhabitants of the wood and the Tanglewood itself.

  2. one word: Dragonlance

  3. Try reading the next books after "Eragon" in the Inheritance cycle:  "Eldest" and "Brisingr"

  4. If you liked I robot, try other Asimov books. There are several installments to both of those series. Foundations end was particularly good. You might look into Piers Anthony for fantasy. Anne McCaffery's Dragon riders books are a very good read. Start with the Dragon riders of Pern and work up from there.

  5. There are several books related to Ender's Game starring Bean.

Read Little Brother by Cory Doctorow.

    Rash by Pete Hautman

    Lois Bujold's Miles Vortsagan novels

    Pern novels by Anne McCaffrey

    Dune by Frank Herbert

  6. The Guardians of Time Series

The Pellinor Series... The Gift, The Riddle.....

    The Mortal Instruments series (Brill!!!!)

The Belgariad series (ok, bit confusing pour moi)

    Uglies by scott westerfeld

  9. If you have read Eragon, then you should go for reading Eldest and Brisingr. Then, if you liked that series, you should for The Icemark chronicles. So far, this consists of two books; the Cry of The Icemark and The Blade od Fire. The first book is a bout a young girl who must take over a nation that was just engaged in war. she must make alliances with vampires, werewolves, and even giant Snow leapords to keep or country aloive, or she must die trying! She is crushing on a young warlock throughout the whole book, and the end is pretty funny.

In the second book, it is twenty years later and the warlock and the girl have had five children. One was crippled by polio as a child, and is sent into exile with the rest of the civilian population of the Icemark because the nation is once again in war. His name is charlemagne, and he know that he is the only one who can save is nation. He must make alliances with people of strage color and different languages, and he must fulfill the prophecy from which his father foretold.

Both of the books were excellent, and i'm sure you'll like them. They're pretty intense at moments too. It's really awesome. Anyway, hope i helped!:)
