  1. Carnival ships are great for kids...esp. the 10 year old.  They have water slides and arcades and the kids room is great.

The Carnival Freedom is a new ship, and will generally be more expensive, but Carnival is a great value!

I can help you with prices, just pop me an email.

Someone recommended a Disney Cruise...I find they are more expensive, and geared toward the younger kids.  I was on the 10 night sailing to the Southern Caribbean last September...although the cruise was great, the food, etc...my daughter, age 5, didn't like the kids room...go figure.

On our Carnival Cruise in 2006, and our Princess Cruise January of 07, she kept asking to go to the kids room.

    Good luck with your plans,

  2. Try the Disney Cruise line. They are real good when it comes to children and adults. Priced well too.

  3. You can check out this website.  It is the blog from the Cruise Director of the Carnival Freedom.  I think it is great, and gives a lot of insight.

  4. Carnival is great no matter what ship you pick, going on the Glory in Sept and have been on the Fantasy and Inspiration too, with the family and and is the best deal I have found, Sept - Dec are the best prices.  that Freedom is on of the newer ship and I am told is awesome, just look around the Carnival site it is worth is to find the best trip for you. then book right through them by phone it is the beat and most fun way to go, we love our personal vacation planner from Carnival, he is always there to help and answer questions

There is lots to do for the children however most lines have different rules for under age 2, Carnivals are:

Camp Carnival is unable to accept children Under 2 years during activity times but we do offer babysitting services for you within Camp Carnival.  Babysitting services for Under 2's are available each evening from 10pm-3am as well as our Family Play Times on Sea Days and during freeplay times on port days. All babysitting services for Under 2's are charged at babysitting price ($6.00 an hour). During Family Play Times on Sea Days parents with Under 2's are welcome to stay with their under 2's at no charge.
