Can you record over something you already filmed on hi8 tapes?

Like if I record something and then I transfer it to my computer, can I reuse the tape??

  1. yes. there is a record protect tab on the spline of the cassette that can be positioned to prevent accidental recording, otherwise the tape can be recorded on at any time.
