Can you recycle an aluminum ladder?

I bought a 30 ft ladder 6 years ago and paid $300.00 for it. I have been offered $80.00 for it. It has never been used and is very good quality. If I took it to an aluminum recycler, the sign out front says $1.64 per lb. The ladder weighs 102 lbs = $167.28. My question is, would they accept the ladder?

I'd say that yes they will accept it, you may be money ahead by offering to sell it on Craigslist dot com.

I think so, look them up in the phone book then, call them and ask

I am sure they would.However why not sell it on "craigs list" or just keep it(if still usable)

they will take your ladder. you can sell it for more than the $80.00 you have been offered and should be able to get more than the $168 you would get for scrap
