Question:

Can you recycle an aluminum ladder?

I bought a 30 ft ladder 6 years ago and paid $300.00 for it. I have been offered $80.00 for it. It has never been used and is very good quality. If I took it to an aluminum recycler, the sign out front says $1.64 per lb. The ladder weighs 102 lbs = $167.28. My question is, would they accept the ladder?

  1. I'd say that yes they will accept it, you may be money ahead by offering to sell it on Craigslist dot com.

  2. I think so, look them up in the phone book then, call them and ask

  3. I am sure they would. However why not sell it on "craigs list" or just keep it(if still usable)

  4. they will take your ladder. you can sell it for more than the $80.00 you have been offered and should be able to get more than the $168 you would get for scrap
