  1. some junk yards will take metal refrigerators appliances

  2. If you curbside recycle you may have to check with your solid waste managment department to see what they allow in the bin.

Go to www.earth911.org to find a local recycle center for anything that curbside won't take.

  3. If you have the space you can save all your little pieces of scrap.  Most items with metal are recyclable and worth money.  Copper pipe, steel, aluminum, brass, bronze and even whote goods (refrigerators, ovens, etc.) have value.  Prices do fluctuate.  Try http://www.scrapmetalpricesandauctions.c... for current metal pricing

  4. typical metal recycling is sorted for type. some junkyards will take unsorted metal off your hands for free.

  5. Metal, no matter what size it may be is recyclable just remember to check with the local authorities as to whether or not it is recyclable or not, some places will only take paper, plastic and tin cans, others will take cardboard too.  It would be in your best interest to do so, just so you don't have to go out and pick it back up again because the recycle man won't take it.  Good Luck
