  1. Packing peanuts are made from styrofoam, which is #6 plastic (Or it's in that group). Most recycling places won't take it because it is hard to recycle, but some do. If your area doesn't, see if any of your friends need them. My family could definately use some!

  2. People often offer them on Freecycle. Sometimes people on Freecycle ask for them too. If all else fails, don't throw them away, Freecycle them for sure! http://www.freecycle.org/

  3. Throw them in your local river or stream.

  4. try a UPS packaging store.  They may be able to reuse them or be able to tell you what to do with them.  I saw a gardening show on TV the other night and they used them on the bottom of pots so the pot wouldn't be so heavy.  Now they make them out of some kind of material that dissolves in water!!

  5. Several shipping stores will take them for reuse. Go to www.earth911.org type in your zipcode and packing peanuts, they should give you a location in your area.

  6. Check with your local garbage/recycling company.  Mine puts out a brochure that lists all the kinds of paper, plastics, and metal that can be recycled.

Do a search for the garbage/recycling company online and you'll probably find the information you need.
