Can you recycle quality street tins?

I must be living too far out in the country. We do not have street out here. Now what is a "street tin"?

Check if the tin is ferrous (iron) based - take a magnet (fridge magnet if you have one) if it sticks it can be recycled in a regular tin bank

Most tins of this type are made from an aluminum compound so can be recycled with soft drink cans

Other possibilities

Buy a pair of tin snips and whilst wearing a pair of strong gloves cut regular size sheets from the tin

These sheets make fun model vehicles etc with a little bit of imagination.  Axles etc can be made from wire and sheets can be folded and overlapped & hammered to hold together.
