Can you register a vehicle in MA with only a bill of sale.?

I am trying to register a 64 Falcon I just bought but the things been sitting for like 15 years and was wondering if I could register it in MA with only a bill of sale. Last time it was registered was in VT in 1992.

  1. With only a bill of sale they will probably make you apply for a new title then you can register the car.


  2. Just a bill of sale won't do it.  At some point,  it seems you will need to get a previous title for the car or a history of the car with the DMV before they will issue a new title to you.

  3. nope..there gonna need a title.. your gonna have to get the title with the XXXXXXXX for milage.. not sure if its a salvaged or what they call it.. but the reason is beacuse you cant prove its the orginal mileage when you get the new title.. had to do this myself in MA

  4. Not sure if thats even possible...Check with the dmv. You might be able to file for a lost title.
