Can you regrow sea monkeys?

i heard somewhere that the crusty brown stuff on the edges of the tank is acually dried up sea monkey eggs, and if you add water to the tank they will regrow them. is this true?

    That stuff is the eggs if you get a small hand lens and have a close look you will see that they look like little beach balls that have been squashed in on one side. LOL

    Re - the extra hatching. Yes I get hatchlings if the egg line has been out of the water for more than one month. Also the concentration of salts are stronger too because of evaporation so any floating in that saltier water will be used to it that level. When you put the fresh water in (distilled or demineralized is best) the change in salinity will trigger them to start hatching. If you can not get them to hatch even after this method come to my forum and let me know as there are several other tecs that I know of to help you.


  2. Yes, it does take a while though. We have sea monkeys at work and they all die off then in a few months they regrow...i don't get it.

    I also looked this up on a website that sells the sea monkey kits and they say the same thing.
