I had a dream last night of me being a baby and I saw my mother. I was a happy little giggly baby in the dream. Then my happy dream of my mother turned into some sort of a nightmare when she was killed. Her blood went everywhere on me on the floor on the walls. What the h**l! It was more like a reality check for me because that really did happen. Maybe not like that but my mother was murder when I was an infant.

I'm here thinking yeah that was nice. I reminder that she's gone. It just got me thinking more about my mother which I never do. I try not to let the negative things get to me but this one certainly is getting to me. Kinda making me sad in way.

What do you think? Do you remember anything during your infancy or childhood?

  1. I wish I was young again-I remember many things as a child, esp. when I hear many different songs I remember as a child & teen, & they bring back good memory's-& some are strong enough to bring tears to my eyes.

  4. I remember a lot of things from my childhood, it was a rather happy one. I think my earliest memory is the day when my sister was born, the trip to the hospital and her face, all wrapped up in a red blanket. I was almost 4 then.

im 19 and i always thought mu earliest childhood memory was when i was 4 and we were moving house BUT i was soo wrong!

My earliest memory if from my first birthday !

  7. That's dreadful. I'm sorry that your mother was taken away from you so young.

I remember quite a lot from early childhood. I had quite a privileged childhood, my parents were reasonably well-off. What I think is my first memory is of sitting in my high chair in the kitchen and watching the washing machine make too many suds and overflow. That machine was very unreliable and always breaking down but on that occasion I think my mother just added too much washing powder.

Another early memory was of visiting my paternal grandmother's house on a fine summer's day. I was fascinated by the outside lavatory. (There was an inside bathroom but many rich Edwardian and inter-War English households had an outside lavatory for the gardener, chauffeur and other outdoors servants.) My visit must have been 1967 or 1968 sometime before my fourth birthday. During 1968 my grandmother moved to a flat (apartment).

The funny thing about early memories is that the more I think about them the more of them I can remember.

  8. Both my parents died when I was young, I have difficulty rememering much about my childhood as more c**p just kept on happening so I think I have blocked most of it out. I am lucky I can;t remember my dreams as I ofted thrash about and come out in the sweats. For some reason I have started to think about my past a lot lately but not a lot comed to mind as I have no one really to remind me nor memrabelia or photo prompts.

  9. My earliest memory is from when I was 3 years old in Menorca, walking along the beach my sister dropped her ice cream and I had to give her half of mine, my mum borrowed a fork from a nearyby cafe and scooped half of mine onto my sisters now empty cone. Gutted!!! I am now 27 and still peeved about it

  10. yes and it was sad

  11. I remember when I was 3 and my brother poisoned me... I ended up in hospital for months, went into a coma... apparently died several times and was given the last rights. I've still got vivid memories of me and him in my mothers bedroom and him giving me something to eat, then stumbling into the front garden. I'm only alive today by pure luck because a nurse just happened to be walking past. I still have dying dreams. I can die in my dreams. I don't wake up. Make what you want of it but my grandfather apparently died at the same moment i did... but he didn't come back. I did.

    true....

  12. im 16 and i don't want to get any older =(
