15 year ago at Jessie Loomis Elementary School - Saginaw, MI. I was sad and scared that i had to meat new kids

I liked the first day of preschool but my mom and aunt followed the bus and looked through my class window. It was embarrassing. I am now in the 7th grade. It was at bayview elementary school. Well hope I helped

Hi!

Yes, I remember my first day at school fifty years ago.

Mum had taken me to register, so it wasn't all strange. Still, when the day came to start school, I was very apprehensive.

At the gate, Mum stopped and said something along the lines of:

"You want to stay with the familiar routine we have enjoyed these past few years, but life moves on. School will prepare you for an amazing life and what you learn will open up more choices as to what you do with it. I'll be here at the gate when school is over".

What she said rang memory bells. Hadn't I come kicking and screaming from the familiarity of the womb thinking my existence was over, only to discover an astonishing world with people who loved me?

True to her word, Mum was there at the end of school waiting at the gate, and I had so many interesting discoveries to share with her.

She's gone on ahead now. Perhaps when the bell rings on my school of life she will be there waiting at another gate.

For everything there is a reason and a time for every purpose under heaven .....

Hi,

yes i do remember my first day at school 16 years ago. i was very cheerful and happy. i basically talk a lot so i had lot of fun at school . i also remember consoling a child who joined along with me and was crying for her mom just 30min after her mom had left i believe.. but i was extremely happy.

It was 33 years ago and I cried a lot and loudly.  I remember all my friends were in the morning class and I was in the afternoon.
