Today, my friend and I went to watch a movie. After the movie, we wanted to have a light meal and decided going to the Food court. Before going to the Food Court, my friend need to call his mum, and he found that his hand phone is lost. He was so afraid that his lost hand phone which contains a lot of private information whether he has left it at home or not. I helped him to call his hand phone, unfortunately his hand phone unreachable. So, he asked me to call his mum at home. I told him that I do not have his home number. He gave me his home telephone number... calling another people which is not his mum. He tried to give me his house phone number again. Still the same old story. Forget it, my friend should go back home to check his hand phone. He can't give me the exact home telephone number....we cannot make a simple call back to his home.

Nowadays, a lot of people are so depending the hand phone, just press the people that you want to call, you can call out easily and not even see the number. If you lost your hand phone, all lost, your friends contact numbers are difficult to remember..... which I agreed. But, your home telephone number which you cannot remember, I find it is something very funny,

Do you agree me?

  1. Its too funny ! ppls can forget their friends's number but ...your own home's number ??? Come on !!! Unbelieverable ...

  2. Duh I can remember my home number. I know a lot of my friend's numbers by heart to, even ones I've only called once or twice. This is why parents should make their kids memorize their numbers at a young age (unless they move, but they should memorize the new number).

  3. I can remember my home number but i sometimes forgotten what is my handphone number. Because my handphone is to let people to call me whenever my handphone was with me.

  4. Home telephone number? Absolutely yes ... i can remember of course. But when it comes to cell phone numbers, its so true. With all contact numbers stored in the handphone memory, we don't need to remember at all. When one loses his or her hand phone, there goes all the contacts. My friend experienced this before, the hard way. Now he backs up the information by storing in the pc ...

Hmm, if the pc hard disk crashed or gets corrupted, there goes all the information too ... We are all so dependent on technology these days ... haha.

  5. hey..it's important u should know ur landline...dont depend too much on automatic dial...we should responsible to this small things...

  6. That is so funny cause I got a phone for my room over a year ago and had to call my phone provider to get the # several times!! Talk about embarrassing!!  Finally I decided to cut small scraps of paper and keep a few in my wallet to hand out to people!!

Like you said in a day and age where cell phones are the norm it gets easier and easier to forget any #'s!  You eneter a # into your phone once and usually never have to see it again! Modern technology!!????

Also I have a large file folder that I throw every piece of paper into that someone has written a # on or business cards I have gotten. You couldn't imagine how many times having it has saved my behind.

Regarding  what one of the other other people answered I really don't think what your parents taught you about #'s when you were a little kid really matters. DUH!!

  7. That can really be a bummer! That's why i don't rely on my hand phone. Everytime i save a number on my hand phone, i make it a point to memorize the numbers that are very important and write down the ones that are not so important but has to be saved. Up to this time, i haven't had any problems whatsoever. I even lost 2 hand phones before, i just get a new one and re enter all the numbers. A simple precaution can save you so much trouble. So make it a point to make back ups.
