Can you remove the lens on the JVC GZ-HD7???

I was wondering if the lens could be removed to put other lens on the JVC GZ-HD7.

This hard drive based consumer has optional lenses available. You do not replace the existing lens... you take the lens hood off and s***w on the other lense - so it takes advantage of the existing optics...

Go to http://camcorder.jvc.com/product.jsp?pat... and scroll down... you have a couple of wide angle lenses and a tele lens available from JVC.

I normally am not a JVC fan, but they are the ONLY company that did high definition correctly on an internal consumer hard drive based camcorder by NOT implementing AVCHD compression like the dummies at Sony, Canon and Panasonic did. Maybe if we are lucky, the Sony, Canon and Panasonic engineers will finally figure out what a huge mistake they mad and follow JVC's lead on this one.
