  1. It's not "renounce".  It's Petitioning the Court to be declared an Emancipated Minor.

  2. no just calm down

  3. Renounce how?  If you are a minor (16 or 17) you can ask to be emancipated if your home life is bad,  and you are already looking after yourself (going to school, a job for spending money)

  4. If you are a juvenile, you are talking emancipation.  You would need to check with the laws of your state, to see if your state even has emancipation (some don't).  Usually, you would need to be 16 years old and be able to prove to the courts that your parents don't support you in any way, etc.  You would also need to show that you are able to support yourself financially without any help from the state.  You would petition the court and plead your case.  If the judge decides that your parents are worse than any other parents at your age then s/he would grant emancipation and you would legally be considered an adult.  If you are an adult, I guess you are talking about disowning and I don't think you need to do anything to make that "legal".

  5. If you are old enough, but not yet 18, you can file for an order of emancipation. If you can prove that you can support yourself, then you may be allowed to live on your own in an almost adult status. See an attorney.
