  1. LOL, have you been reading Snow Crash?

No, you can't do this. When you rent a storage cube, you sign an agreement saying you won't live in it.

On the other hand, these companies often keep a person or couple on the premises as security, and they provide them with an apartment as well as a salary. You work there full-time; it's a job.

http://www.publicstoragejobs.com/propert... See the last sentence in the 4th paragraph.

  2. No... The contract on the lease most of time strictly forbids living in one for various reasons. Funny though, I knew a guy who rented a 5x5 and played his drums in there a couple of hours at a time. There were no rules against it per se and no one ever said anything.

  3. No it is not allowed as there is no running water and it clearly states you cannot live in the unit.

  4. No, it's written in the contract that you sign.

P.S. funny about the drummer playing in the storage unit though....LOL!

  5. umm not sure why you'd want to but understandable with todays financial crisis.

well its worth speaking to your local citizens advice centre about this, i'm guessing no beacsue of council tax ect.

  6. Of course not, since it has no plumbing or cooking facilities.  However, it HAS been tried by some who are close to destitute.  As soon as they are discovered, they are immediately removed from the premises.
