  1. Yes provided the club was broken as a result of hitting or attempting to hit a golf shot and not as a result of a fit of anger. It may be replaced so long as there is no delay in the round, with any conforming club, .f rom the pro shop but not from any participant in the tournament

  2. No

  3. It was just recently that Tiger broke his 4 iron on a tree while hitting a particullarly difficult shot. He was within the rules to replace the club but he didn't have one to replace it with. So he did without for the rest of the round.

If he had broken it over his knee, he would not have the option to replace it.

  4. im pretty sure u have to wait til the end of the round

  5. during most tournaments there is a truck that pros can take their clubs to so they can be fixed. Not sure if they can use it during play, but afterward they can have their clubs fixed right at  the course by pros

  6. Yes as long as you don't unduly delay play.

  7. As long as it was broken in "the normal course of play" you can replace it or repair it (if it won't delay play). You can't borrow a club that anybody on the course is carrying.

You can replace it with any club. So, if you break a 4 iron, you can replace it with a gap wedge if you so desire.

The "normal course of play" includes hitting a shot, of course, and some other things you wouldn't expect:

    - taking a practice swing

    - using a club as a cane

    - removing the club from your bag

    - using a club as a ball retriever

Sometimes the rules aren't as nasty as you would think!

It doesn't cover things like throwing a club, breaking it over your knee, or things like that.
