I live in PA, and an aggressive driver passed a few cars behind me on the shoulder of a merging lane between two highways. He intentionally tried to hit my vehicle to get around me, and pushed me into a lane of traffic on my right just to get his spot. I just tried to get away from him. I can't believe there is no damage on my car. I got his plate #, and took a picture.

  1. Absolutely ,report this at once to your local police or the state highway patrol. If you have his licrnce no. and a picture of his vehicle,he at least can,t deny being there. If nothing else, the police will probably issue a warning and inform this lunatics insurance company. Glad yur ok.

  2. call the police non emergency number, what he did was dumb because most roads have video surveillance nowadays

  3. i'd report it to the police.

  4. Good for you and I am glad to see someone else that will stand up for what is right.

  5. Glad you called the police.

Next time you're in touch with them, ask the cell phone extention to use if this happens again - I was told it's free and is about 3 buttons on a cell phone to go directly to the Highway patrol dept. for these types of matters.

Also, keep you eye on the PA turnpike/476/80/95, etc.  They have these overhead signs that sometimes encourage people to report aggressive driving an give the # for cellphones.

Stay safe and never "fight back"  you don't know who you're messing with - their road rage may be the tip of their iceberg...

  6. wow glad u are ok contact the state police or if u what jurisdiction it happened the local police

  7. yes you can report the incident. contact the state police and give them all the information you have. understand however that since the cops didnt see the incident, you would have to press charges as a citizen. otherwise all the cops can do is keep an eye on the guy.

now if he had hit you, then you would be able to have him arrested for hit and run if he left the scene of the accident.
