My friend is getting married tomorrow, sort of last minute, & we are trying to fix her wedding dress for her. The boning on the chest area is shaped a little funny to her. So we were wondering is there a way to bend or reshape the boning in her dress at all, on our own, of course. Anyway tips would be great! Thanks!

  1. Why do you want to reshape plastic while boning in a dress? Am I missing something here?

  2. Try warming it up, like steaming it with an iron steam, and try shaping it that way.  Or just take the boning out.  (From the inside, just a small slit and pull the boning out.)

  3. No. Even if you could, you would have to have a seamstress do it for you. Most aren't going to waste their time attempting it.

  4. In the interest of keeping your friendship, I would not be the one to try to fix her wedding dress without professional help the day before the wedding.  If she's lived with it up until now, I suggest she roll with it down the aisle & enjoy her special day.  Don't be the one she goes off on because this crazy plan doesn't work. = /  Best of luck!

  5. Oooh yikes! It's probably a little too late to be messing around with the dress- I'd be scared to do anything to it! Good luck!
