  1. You can, but unless the surface is damaged you don't need to as there are many different products that will 'seal' the concrete.

IF the surface is just 'slightly' cracked, it can be repaired before sealing, but if it has any major problems, it would need to be replaced.

  2. Yes!

ARDEX Feather finish, Avap;abe at WHITECAP.

  3. No because you would have to have it very thick......clean it really good and mark it off in equal strips and cut a sponge the size of a brick.....use red paint dab the sponge in the paint then on the concrete......fake looking bricks but turns out pretty....

  4. Most always the answer is yes. Only if you have major cracking and upheavel is it a problem. Then the concrete would have to be torn out and replaced. Concrete overlays come in an endless array of finishes. It can be stamped, troweled, shot from a hopper, etc... Next it can be colored with acid stain, eco stain, antiquing or just sealed. Check out concretenetwork.com for ideas and information. Also my website has many ideas also, sfgfloors.com

  5. Yes, you can.

A large lumber yard can help you with this. Deal with one that sells mainly to contractors.

But if you own the place, call in a company that does concrete staining. They often resurface concrete, plus they can do some really neat looking finishes.

My brother in law does this. Most of the houses he does are in the 1/2 million-dollar-plus range.

It is an investment that can pay back very nicely.
