  1. NO.

  2. y?

  3. Sure! But it may not be legal...

In rural areas they probably won't care but on a busy interstate going into New York, it might cause a few problems.

  4. I don't see why not. A bit dangerous though..Make sure your bike at least has the proper lighting if you embark on doing that. You may also want to check into local or state laws before doing so just to be on the safe side.

  5. yea you need to find a field preferably with dirt or you can keep riding on the grass till you have your own dirt field

  6. you can do whatever you want thats why you have a dirt bike.

    its totally illegal. JJJJEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZis

  7. in most states  this is illegal. but me being a cop, I would not do anything to you unless you are doing something stupid like going at a high rate of speed, or trying to roost cars as they pass by. If you are just riding down the road on the grass part of the shoulder, trying to get to your riding spot, and wearing a helmet....I wouldn't do anything....

But dont take it from me, the laws in your state, and the police may differ in what they will and will not allow....

always when you are in doubt......ASK.....and ask the proper people, and not here on Yahoo answers.....

Give a call to the police station.....

  8. As Kristen said it depends on where you are.  From a legal standpoint, the shoulder of the road is not part of the travel way, therefore it can not be used for riding.  Secondly, the shoulder and the grass beside the road belong to the state or local government and all laws applicable to the streets and highways of your state would apply there.  If your dirt bike does not a license plate you'd be cited for using an unlicensed vehicle on a public road in addition to riding on the shoulder.

However, in many rural areas (mostly agricultural) I've seen miles of quad trails next to 2 lane state highways, but never along an interstate or any urbanized areas..
