Can you ring your home phone and talk within your home?

When you are home is there a way to ring the phones throughout your home and talk to another home phone?

Not if you have only one phone #.  You will get a busy signal.

If you want to call from extension to extension inside the house you need a small internal phone system and the wiring has to be "home run" meaning each extension's wiring must be run all the way to a central location.  

An alternative is a KSU less phone system; each hand set plugs into the phone line and a power line.  Each has to be programmed with its own extension.
