  1. I can with mine. As long as it isn't normal water and it is specified contact solution, it should be fine for your eye. Sometimes my contacts get dry or sticky so I just put in a few drops of solution and they're fine. Even if your contacts arn't in your eye, it should still be fine.

  2. um...i don't think you should, because if u ever notice when u put your sontact in and there is a little puddle of soulution on it, it kinda burns your eye and makes in water? well i think that would like, made your eyes water a LOT if you rinsed your eye with the solution.

  3. I wouldn't recommend it.  Contact solution usually contains stuff to clean and store your lenses - not to be put directly in your eye.  I have gotten solution in my eyes before and it burns.

If you are looking for a straight saline use Unisol.  It it only saline and safe to rinse your eye with.  We use it in the office all of the time.

  4. I've done it for years with no problem. It's just saline solution, pretty much the same thing doctors use to rinse out wounds. It's harmless.

  5. As you can see by reading the other answers, it is okay if your "solution" is just regular contact lens salene solution and NOT the storing solution.  Most people don't use that though.  Definitely don't do it if you're using Clear Care (lol!) because that one starts off as peroxide (ouch!) then turns to salene.  But yeah, it's okay to do it with salene.  I do it at my boyfriend's house when I forget my eye drops.  You should get some eye drops though.  Blink and Clean are good ones if you just need to clean your eye out real quick.

  6. no, use saline instead

  7. Check the ingredients. It's entirely possible that you can do it, but ONLY if it's a saline RINSE and doesn't contain any kind of cleaning components.

The company that made the contact rinse I used to use also made "rewetting drops" - which, checking the ingredients, were the SAME exact product just in a smaller bottle.

  8. It is saline solution, so most certainly you can rinse your eye with it. That is of course if you are not talking about the cleaning solution
