  1. You could but really why would you want to? It will have an effect in so much as it will use more of your bandwidth and so unless you on a good connection speed will be no good,

If you mean can you have two clients downloading the same file. No, you will just end up with two copies of the file your downloading.

  2. you can but why would u need to it will slow down the downloads and the computer

  3. Yes u can but it will slow down badly.

  4. You can, but you shouldn't. The key word is Bandwidth. Two cars won't get you anywhere faster in bad traffic.

  5. depending on the client you use. I use Bit Tornado and can download several torrents at once, 4 right now and they all download over 80kbps.

Also, depending on how many people are seeding the file you are downloading and their speeds.

Your internet connection also plays a factor, are you wireless or directly connected via ethernet?

If no one is seeding the file, or only 2-5 people are, it will take a while to get the file.

And the best time to get the file is when people are home, so if you're in the US, usually between 2pm-10pm PST.

Clients usually come pre-configured so you shouldn't have to mess with the settings.
