  1. depending on what you buy, yes. if you buy hellof c**p. then no

  2. of course, if you buy in bulk youll save a lot of money, but only buy what you need, unless you want to end up spending money on what you dont need

  3. no but  you get more for your money thats why it seems expencive.

  4. Yes, if you buy the bulk items that you would normally buy in a store. Per unit they are cheaper. But you have to have a place to store everything, which can be a problem if space is limited. I buy toilet paper there, it is cheaper, but it takes up a lot of room at home. Also, if you buy food, you need to have a big enough freezer to fit everything in. Their hamburger and chicken is quite a bit less than the grocery store.

The individual items tend to be higher-ticket items. You could buy  more basic models much cheaper in a regular store. They're good quality, they're just not necessarily a bargain like the bulk items are. Good luck!

  5. I find that the sizes are to large for me so my friends and I split the cost on items as well as the membership right down to the shoping trip gas.

  6. You're spending a lot each visit but if you use a lot of that particular soap then in the end you are saving money.  I find that it's not that great.

  7. You can definitely save money because they sell in bulk, which means prices are much lower than usual per item. If you buy groceries often from Costco then you'll save a lot more than the membership costs. Also, they have awesome food sampling :D

  8. Yes, though be prepared to buy the super-giant size of things or multiple packs of things, and perhaps to get creative about storage if you have a small place. The few times I have run out of things I usually buy at Costco and have to buy at a regular supermarket, it hurts to pay twice as much for ordinary things like tin foil or dish soap. I only shop there about 3 times a year. I'm single and I still save a fair amount.

  9. you get more for your money there. (Batman)

  10. yes if u need to to get things in bulk. the sayings are not huge but u do save. it is great if u own a store business and need things for it.

  11. to be honest no

when u actually calculate how much you spend.( considering the fact that costco sells in big prportions)

you spend more than u usually do

    on many things

  12. yes

  13. YES!  We have a BJ's membership where it's normally $86 per yr. and you get 2% back of everything you spend(except gas, lottery, alcohol)... We split our primary/secondary membership with another couple and we swap yrs. in who pays...

This works out quite well.. Bj's offers money saving coupons AND you can combine them with the coupons from the Sunday circular..

For example:  I bought 3 packs of the Lysol antibacterial wipes.. it was buy one get one FREE!  So, 6 containers for $9.99 and then I had $1 off 2 containers.. So, I used 3 of those- So, I got 6 containers for around $1 a piece!  They had a clearance on 300 oz. laundry soap....

We got ERA, Wisk for under $7.... We also got an instant rebate on ELECTROSOL dishwasher tabs 90ct. for $7.99- $2.00 instant rebate AND $1.00 manufacters coupon... So 90 tabs for $5!  That will last us at least 3 months!

We also buy diapers, baby food and quality meats..... PLUS we get back 2% of what the primary/secondary member buys.. So, far we are due about $60 which paid for the membership since we used a coupon for 1/2 off the upgrade AND 16 months of service..!  So, it was $42 for 16 months.. As well as the 2%.....

*During the holidays they have some nice gifts that go on clearance/mark-down.. We bought 4 bath/body sets that came in a real cabinet that you can hang in your bathroom- it was really nice... We bought 4 for under $5!  Made nice hostess/birthday/Christmas gifts...

Look for rebates especially in the beer isle.. We recently bought a case of Coors/Coors light for a BBQ and $40 worth of meat and got back $25 by mail...

During Christmas Bud Light had a deal going where if you spent $75 on misc. merchandise and bought a case of Bud Light or Bud you got back $30 by mail.... So, some of our Christmas gifts were basically FREE!

I hope this helps good luck

  14. yes! but you have to buy a ton of it. So it's really a matter of will you use all of it- then you save a lot of money. but if you don't use it a lot then it's not worth it.

  15. You can save more money and the environment if you shop with Melaleuca.  They have all natural products, they do charge a yearly membership like costco and sams club, but it's only 29.00, sometimes you can catch it 1/2 off, so it would only be 14.50.  The products are great!!  They sell everything from vitamins, supplements, soaps and shampoo, cleaning products etc.  Everything is super concentrated and is of amazing quality, everyone I've introduced to products has loved it!  If you want, you can email me, staciedawn84@yahoo.com, I can give you all the info you want!

  16. You can buy cheap food there and it's good quality. You'll need to buy a lot, like 10 pounds of hamburger or 5 T-bone steaks at a time, so invest in some ziplock bags and freeze what you can't eat in one day. After a few trips to Costco you won't need to go back to the grocery store for a month.
