  1. Yes you can.  It would be a lot for me to explain, but i was able to track down a user manual for your camcorder that explains the process.

    You can find a download for it here:

    http://www.samsung.com/download/FileView...

    Then select the first link out of your two options (the one ending with .pdf)

    You will find the information that you are looking for starting on page 82 and it continues to page 89.

    Alternatively, here is what i would do (if your computer has a firewire cable input):

    If your camera did not come with an ieee 1394 "firewire" cabe, pick one up from your local electronics store (make sure it is the right cable, take the camera with and get help if you need it).  Then take it home and plug it into your computer using your firewire cable.  The computer should recognize the camera when you turn it on to vcr(play) mode.  Open windows movie maker and select capture from the "File" menu.  Follow the directions and good luck, you should be all set.

    note: If you need any software for your camera, you should be able to get that from the website that the manual it on.

  2. a miniDV vcam must be DV~Firewire400**-connected to pc to upload video thru video capture or video editing* application while vcam is ON PLAYBACK.  Before cable purchase** check PC for DV port {VCAM@4pin=>firewireCABLE=>PC@4/ 6pin?}. If none, install firewire card: pci for pc or pcmcia / express card for laptop.

    video editing process- Vista/wmm6

          >>> open wmm- start/all programs/wmm->TASK pane

    1. Import video stream** - editing software remotely controls vcam operations

    2. Edit- drag/drop video files->timeline & enhance w/effects, transition, music & titles

    3. Publish (render)- save Movie (OK for youTube), also, save Project.msmmw file
