Can you scratch your esophagus by throwing up?

  1. Ulcers generally causing a stabbing pain that shoots through the the front left to the back left regularly, expecially on an empty stomach. You would also feel a pain similar to hunger.

    You can both scratch it and tear it throwing up.

  3. No, but you can  develop a tear in your esophagus  if you are vomiting frequently.  It's called a Mallory-Weiss tear.  The stomach acid can burn your esophagus also,
