  1. In the northern hemisphere, Scorpius can be seen in the southern sky during summer evenings. Look for his claws and the red giant star Antares where the center of our Milky Way galaxy approaches the horizon.

  2. well scorpio is a summer constellation so you should be able to see it now just look out for the recognisable "flick" of stars

  3. You sure can. In fact, you have a better view of it than those who live at mid-northern latitudes and higher. An those locations, the tail starts getting cut off at the southern horizon and it gets increasingly difficult to see because it is so low in the sky. Right now is about the best time of the year to see it because it is in the sky for most of the night.

    This is a great freeware download star chart.  Just tell it where you are and it will tell you what you see.  Scorpius is visible towards the south in the summer.

  5. yes.  now. (summer).  It is a bit low on the horizon from where I live (much nearer to the north pole than you).  I prefer the winter constellations.
