Can you see the difference between fog & mist?

i know the difference between them, but can you see the difference?

  1. Fog are made from bigger droplets of water.  The tiny water droplets of fog will usually just float around as it will move around with any light wind current.  Mist, in general, will be falling slowly towards the ground.  Mist will wet the ground. Fog, in general, will likely not wet the ground since the droplets are so small that many times it would evaporate shortly after contact with a surface feature.  With mist, you will likely need to turn on your wind shield wipers on while driving. With fog, you will likely need to turn on your wind shield wipers, especially if the fog is not dense.

    the "drops" in mist are usually bigger - like small water droplets.

    The "grain" of fog is much smaller, and it is not usually possible to see individual droplets.

    Note, though, that fog and mist can co-exist at the same time . . .
