  1. If yes, how often does it appear?

We don't get the northern lights, but we do get Aurora Australis, and it happens occasionally.

What country do you live in?

    I live in Australia

What months of the year is it most visible?

    Summer and winter, usually winter

    How long does it last?

I honestly couldn't say. Sometimes a few minutes, sometimes a few hours

And last of all...whats the weather like where you live?

    ABSOLUTELY FREEZING!!!

  2. no.

  3. NEVER!

  4. a diffuse light appearing in the sky, particularly in the North and South Polar regions where it is known as the 'aurora borealis' and 'aurora australis' respectively. the lights assume a great variety of forms, and appear more frequently as arcs and 'curtains'. there is also a beautiful fan-like form known as the 'corona' or 'auroral crown'. the colour of light varies from white to red to blue and is occasionally green. it is unsteady and flickering , and sometimes sweeps swiftly across the sky in waves. some auroras can cover vast areas from horizon to horizon. displays can last a few hours or several days. it was discovered that a polar aurora occurs from 20 to 30 hours after the appearance of a 'flare' on the Sun's surface

  5. No  (I wish though, that would be so pretty)

  6. In Texas where I live, very, very rarely.  Then in winter.

In the midwest, northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, fairly often, almost always in winter.  They can last for hours although normally bright for less than an bour.

In Dallas, Texas, it continues hot and humid.  During the last 20 days the high temp as touched the average high temp line just once and the dew point has stuck within a degree or two of 70 with a constant south wind that has ranged up to 25 to 40 mph some days.

  7. Well, I can't see the Northern Lights from where I live.

However, if you want to know locations for seeing the lights, Alaska is by far the best place in the USA to see them because they occur in the "auroral oval," which is centered on the northern geomagnetic pole, and which usually passes over Alaska.

The best months for seeing the lights would be March and September.

  8. Some say they have seen them here but I never have-Reno.
