If the pink slip is your registration, you do not need it to sell.  You only need the title.  You cannot transfer ownership without the title.  Duplicate titles are easy to obtain and in many states you can do it online.

Nope.  And you need that pink slip to turn into the DMV, and buy a title.  

Once you have the title, THEN you can sell the car.

No sorry...if you own the vehicle outright & it shows no lienholder on your registration you can go to the DMV and fill out a duplicate title.  Doesn't really take that long.

in most states NO.. and  the ones you can..it has to be sold for parts only .. and can't be driven..

Depends on where you are at.  In florida you have to have a title no matter what.  In georgia if it is over 20 years old all you have to do is write out a bill of sale.  Call your tag office and ask them for your states law and what you need to get another one.

No you cannot.

Contact your DMV and you can easily get a replacement.

Title is the certificate of ownership. Without it, it could be a thief selling a stole car.  So you cannot sell it without it.  And the buyer cannot transfer ownership without the title signed over.

Nope (at least not legally).  You can however obtain a duplicate title (provided your the owner of the vehicle).  

The cost of a duplicate title application is only $6.00 and the turn around time varies by state.  Check with your local DMV, and they will help you get the ball rolling.

yes you can, you have to go to the motor vehicle registration and take your license tag registration papers and ask for a copy of your title. In TN it is only $5. They have you fill out a form first and when completed they can make a copy and then you sign it over to the person who buys the vehicle.
