Is it possible for the buyer and the seller to agree to sell the car without transferring the rego?

If so, is it enough to have a paper signed by both declaring that the car has been bought?

  1. as long as you pay taxes on any profit that you made, it should be legal.

  2. It is NOT a smart idea to sell your car and leave your plates on it.  You can be held liable for -

    -any accidents

    -any tickets

-any death caused by YOUR car

-a whole lot of legal issues.

    TAKE YOUR PLATES OFF>.

For some reason, the buyer can't get it registered, right?

Don't do it. Not even for him just to get it home.

  3. No ! It is Not legal and certainly not smart.

  4. if you buy a car from some one and then they give you the title and then you sell it to someone else and its not registered yes you can, if the title is signed buy the origional seller (as long as it is) you can sell it as many times as you want. if you just have a papaer and no title then now cuz im in the same situation i just bought 2 cars with signed papers saying i bought them but it didnt have a titled so they sed nop cant do it, unless you can get the orgional seller to go down be lime yo im the owner i lost the title i sold it to this kid here

so if you the orgional owner and dont have the title you will have to go to the dmv with him

  5. Yes you can sell the car without transfering the title,But the name that is on the title is the legal owner. Sounds like to me that the person isn' able to have the title transfered & can't get  ins on it . I wouldn't do it before removing the tags. That would keep you out of trouble in the future.
