Can you send a text to a mobile phone using a land line UK?

Im out of credit on my mobile and wanted to know if you can send a text from a BT land line, to a mobile phone? If yes do you know how i do this. My phone is a dect digital if this matters?

Hi,

Yes you can do this from an enabled land line, you will also need a handset that can send SMS. but a better idea may be to use one of the free sending service on line.

yes, if your phone has the text option on it, i do it from my landline.

Only if texting is enabled on your BT line - if not you can receive but not send.
