Can you send food with USPS?

just wondering if you can send it through the post office...they always ask if there are perishables, something fragile, etc so i didnt know if that meant they werent allowed...also is there an extra cost?

  1. You can as long as it is something that won't spoil. I'm deployed right now, my family sends me food all the time. Gotta love thoes christmas cookies!


  2. If you're sending an item overseas,check with the Postal Service and see if it's legal to send it. Some things are not allowed such as ammunition,alcoholic beverages,flammable liquids such as charcoal fluid,lighter fluid,gunpowder.

    In Venezuela ,for example,it's illegal to bring in anything made with  beef.  The Post Office will have a list of items thatare not allowed.
